"The Lord is my strength and song,
and He has become my salvation."

     --Exodus 15:2

The Bible tells us that the gospel of Jesus Christ is "good news" for mankind. And the above verse illustrates why.

God Himself has become our salvation through the life and death of His Son. Our own efforts to please God could never compare to what He has done for us.

Here's how the Bible explains it in Titus 3:5--7:

"He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, that being justified by His grace we might be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life."

No wonder true Christians are filled with joy and gratitude for the gift of salvation they have found in Jesus!
